2018 AUCTION CATALOG AUCTION RULES

The International Kiko Goat Association would like to invite the public to our Annual Kikofest which includes educational sessions and an auction of quality Kiko registered breeding stock. The event opens at 9:00 AM, Friday September 7th. Educational sessions start at 10:00am.

  • “Small Ruminant Grading & Herd Selection” - presented by Thomas Greenlee, Rhea County Extension Agent
  • Conservation Assistance & Programs - presented by David Watson, District Conservationist,
  • NRCS/ FAMACHA & Fecal Egg Count Process - presented by Dr. Maria L. Leite Browning, D.V.M., M.S., Extension Animal Scientist, Alabama A&M University.

There will be a Fun Auction afterwards and then the IKGA Membership meeting.

Saturday’s schedule begins at 8:30am. Up first is Q&A Session with Experienced Breeders - Sandra Mathis; Timothy Price, IKGA Registrar; Other IKGA Breeders and then Boer/Kiko Cross Opportunities & Registration - Sandra Mathis; Timothy Price, IKGA Registrar. Lunch will be available for purchase on site. The IKGA Kikofest Auction begins at Noon. There will be plenty of opportunities during Kikofest to come look over the goats we have up for auction.

Persons observing goats at our sale, year after year, state that this is the best selection of kikos at any auction they have attended. All goats are registered with the IKGA. The following are Consigners at KikoFest this year:

You can preview goats in the '2018 Auction Catalog'. However, it is always better to see these impressive critters up close and personal. So plan to attend! Meet with old friends and build new friendships with other kiko goat breeders. Sessions and auction are open to the public.
